Tube Leavenworth!   Lake Wenatchee Tubing!   Yakima Tubing!  Yuma Tubing!

What to Expect:

We try to take all the guesswork out of getting on the river.  We provide a map of the river, shuttle to the put-in, coolers, dry bags, life vests, and even offer some items you may have forgotten, like cameras, sun block, and water.

There is some hiking involved:

To the right is a photo of the short trail down to the Wenatchee River from the Icicle Road Bridge put-in in Leavenworth.  You will have to carry your tubes, cooler, dry bag, and other items down to the river.  Good footwear such as river sandals or athletic shoes are highly recommended for any walking on the beach.  Each river is different and we find the easiest access available.

We have an alternate beach near this trail that is easier for people with mobility issues.  Each of our locations has a put in or take out that is easier for people with mobility concerns.  Now everyone can have access, including those with special needs.  We don't have a lift on our bus, but our driver and an attendant can assist with almost any special need for transportation.   We'll transport your wheels to the take out.

During the trip you can expect mostly calm and peaceful waters with beautiful views.  In Washington, the water comes right out of the mountains and can be cold.  In Yuma, the Colorado has had a long journey through the desert and is a lot warmer than the Northwest.  It is very refreshing on a hot day.  The river can be moderately swift.  You do need to watch for obstructions and paddle with your hands to avoid bumping rocks, logs, and branches.

Generally the weather is hot and sunny.  In Leavenworth it sometimes tops 100 degrees, in Yuma, it always is!  Some days do have high clouds, but it is still hot enough to enjoy the river.

You'll see others enjoying a float, swimming at the beaches, and walking along the riverfront trails.

Some hazards exist, such as these logs in the photo on the right.  We float during the late summer when the water levels are low, which gives you plenty of time to paddle away from these kinds of obstructions.

Trips generally range from 2-4 hours depending on how many times you stop to play.  On the Wenatchee River we use the Fish Hatchery put-in early season and the Icicle Road put-in late season when the water gets lower.  On the Colorado River you can choose different launching points to control the duration of your trip.

At the end of the trip we have a trash can handy for cleaning out your cooler.  We know you want to recycle, so plan on taking cans home with you.  You'll have to rinse your tube in the river and carry it a short distance to our trailer or tarp.

The trip ends right where you met us so your car is close.  Bring a towel and a bag for wet sandy clothes.  We have portable toilets at the end.
